Hello folks. Up for sale today is a super mint, factory original OEM GM power antenna assembly that was taken out of a 1994 Buick Park Avenue.

This power antenna is in perfect, 100% working condition. The antenna mast was thoroughly cleaned, and then oiled with light machine oil. The antenna was then tested for over 25 times by allowing it to raise and lower, and it worked flawlessly without any issues. There was no binding issues or excessive noises from the motor while the antenna was in operation and runs very quietly. There is great reception that is picked up from the antenna while the mast is raised. The last picture illustrates the antenna fully extended to its maximum height.

Cosmetically the power antenna is in super mint condition, as it looks close to new and can be easily installed into a show or museum car. The metal mast has an excellent shine to it and is not heavily scratched, corroded, or bent, and is very straight. The rest of the power antenna assembly is clean and has no signs of corrosion or abuse at all. The original GM part number decal is still attached to the mast, and looks perfect. The original rubber ink stamp marking is also still clearly visible on the motor case as well. The factory GM part # for the mast is 22143871, and was manufactured on the 60th day of 1994, while the motor assembly contains a part number of 5049996, and was assembled on the 73rd day of 1994. The GM part # as a dealership replacement is 19245561.

Included with this power antenna is the mounting bracket which allows the antenna assembly to be firmly mounted to the trunk body. Also included is the chrome top bezel nut and rubber side grommet, drain hose, ground strap, and electrical relay. For an additional $5, I will also include the electrical harness plug that connects directly to the antenna if your original is damaged or if you are looking to upgrade your non-power fixed mast antenna to this power unit. However the winning bidder must contact me when the listing ends as the harness plug is available at your request.

This original OEM GM power antenna is 100% factory correct for the 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue & Park Avenue Ultra, as well as the 1992-1996 Buick Lesabre, Lesabe Custom, & Lesabre Limited models. This power antenna assembly may also fit and work perfectly into many other GM cars of the era as well, but please examine all of the pictures closely to see if this antenna will fit your own model.

Having an original functional power antenna installed will not only raise the value of the car, but it will also score extra points if and when being judged at a show. These are no longer available new from GM, and the poor quality aftermarket replacements are made in China, and will need to be modified to direct fit your car. These are already very hard to find in fully functional condition, so if you are looking to upgrade your original non-power antenna to this power antenna setup, wishing to fix your original power antenna, or looking for a power antenna for an older hot rod, rat rod, or custom, here's your chance to grab a real show quality antenna. This antenna will be shipped with USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail, so if you have any questions, you’re more than welcome to ask. Thank you and good luck.

BMW i3 EV to get BMW motorcycle engine as range extender?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

BMW i3 to get motorcycle range-extender engine? The only real way to make an electric car – any electric car – come close to being a viable replacement for an ICE car is to fit it with a small engine to extend its range and charge its batteries when reserves get low. The range extender is the technology the Chevy Volt and Opel Ampera use to make their cars suitable for more than just short urban commuting, and it’s something BMW are planning as an option for the i3.
