Vauxhall and Opel 'not for sale' - CEO Akerson

Thu, 28 Jul 2011

GM chief executive Dan Akerson has overnight dismissed claims that its Vauxhall/Opel European division is for sale. Vauxhall and Opel have also been linked to a possible sale to the Chinese.

CAR interviews AMG's ex-boss Volker Mornhinweg

Thu, 01 Apr 2010

Volker Mornhinweg has single-handedly transformed AMG, turning the in-house tuner into a fully fledged and independent supercar manufacturer. In April he will leave AMG and take on the new role of overseeing Mercedes’ van operations – a vital, but very different role.

2013 Aston Martin DB9 – Virage Vanquished

Wed, 19 Sep 2012

Aston Martin has given the DB9 a makeover – a facelift and a bit more – for 2013 as the tweaked DB9 signals the end of the Virage. The 5.9 litre V12 engine under the new DB9′s bonnet now offers 510bhp and 442lb/ft of torque – more than the Virage managed to muster – and is much the same as the revised AM11 V12 we see in the new Vanquish but with a bit less power.
