Almost four years to the day after we first saw the VW Up concept car, Volkswagen is unveiling the real thing: this is the new VW Up city car, on sale in UK dealers in spring 2012. Forget the official, trendily informal name 'up!'. I'm afraid CAR's going to overrule the grammatical violations and call it the good old Volkswagen Up.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. The Audi S7 (pictured) and A7 get a tweak or two for 2015 It’s four years since the Audi A7 arrived (and its more powerful sibling – the Audi S7 – arrived a month or so later), so it’s time for a tweak or two for Audi’s five-door swoopy coupe. The cosmetic changes for the A7 and S7 are not exactly overwhelming, with a new single frame grill at the front, new bumpers, new tailpipes and new lights. The usual facelift fodder.
