Tue, 18 Mar 2014FORMULA ONE supremo Bernie Ecclestone has vowed to address growing concerns surrounding the sport's lack of an appealing noise. Following Sunday's season-opening Australian Grand Prix, Ron Walker, chairman of the organising company that stages the race, complained to close friend Ecclestone about the lack of sound. The piercing scream of the old V8 engine has gone, and in its place we now have a huskier tone, complete with whistles and whirrs from the 1.6-litre V6 turbo as F1 tries to become greener.

The BMW 328 Hommage has been created to celebrate the 75th anniversary of BMW's 328 sports car, which was one of the featured classic cars at the Villa d'Este Concours. BMW 328 Hommage: Where have I seen that shape before? I assume you're talking about the general shape of the car, rather than the buck-toothed rabbit look of the front-end graphic. While the BMW 328 Hommage is festooned with modern reinterpretations of such classic 328 competition car hallmarks as leather bonnet straps, bodyside recesses in lieu of doors, aero screens, and 'pepper-pot' alloy wheels, the overall shape has more in common with BMW's 2011 Geneva show car, the Vision Connected Drive. The 328 Hommage is a far less direct descendant of the original BMW 328 than the M1 Hommage was to the original M1, or the 2006 BMW Mille Miglia Concept was to the original 328 Mille Miglia coupe. 2014 Kia Soul “Red Zone” takes it to the house
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Kia Motors America announced its first special edition for the second generation 2014 Soul, dubbed “Red Zone.” This quirky, boxy compact car will get a head-to-toe makeover, taking inspiration and design cues from the 2012 Chicago Auto Show favorite, the Track'ster concept. The exterior of the Soul gets bright white paint, accented by pops of red. The grille, front and rear fascias and side skirts also will receive the distinguished red embellishments, adding to what Kia describes as “the aggressively styled body kit.” Custom 18-inch alloy wheels complete the “Red Zone” makeover.
