Jaguar Land Rover build the millionth car at Halewood – a Range Rover Evoque

The millionth car produced at Halewood – a Range Rover evoque The Jaguar Land Rover Plant in Halawood was once best know for churning out the now defunct Jaguar X-Type – which it did until the X-Type was pensioned off in 2009 – but more recently its become home to the Land Rover Freelander 2 and the new Range Rover Evoque. And with sales of the Evoque still powering forward it’s no surprise the the millionth car to come off the production  line at Halewood this week is an Evoque. In fact, it’s a white Range Rover Evoque Dynamic with a Fuji White paint job, ebony alloys, Firenze Red roof and mirrors and red and black interior which is being donated to Cancer Research UK.

This all-new Hyundai i10 is the second generation of the Korean brand's European-designed and engineered A-segment hatch. It's 80mm longer, 65mm wider and 50mm lower than its predecessor, although its wheelbase has only grown by 5mm. ...and Victor Muller smiles Victor Muller never says die, and the news that Saab has, after all, been granted the right to court protection from its creditors for a period of reorganisation has vindicated his stubborn refusal to give up on Saab. The Court of Appeal in Gothenburg has this morning overturned an earlier judgement by the District Court in Vänersborg which rejected Saab’s application to get the court’s protection during a period of ‘reorganisation’, which you can read as ‘Waiting for the dosh to arrive from China’. The news last week that Rachel Pang – a director of Pang Da, one of Saab’s putative investors – has come out in a very bullish way about the prospects for the investment by Pang Da and Youngman getting the final rubber stamp from China’s NDRC in Beijing won’t have harmed Saab’s case one bit.
