"Night Stalker"

The NIGHT STALKER Series is designed to handle as much as 500 horsepower. Comparable lines will only handle up to 300 horsepower.  These are generally 12" converters.  ACC uses Torrington style incased bearings throughout the converter.  They weld up and four corner tack weld the turbine and impeller fins in order to maintain strength and quality.

The automotive industry now has a new torque converter leader. ACC has emerged as a out-right leader in this industry and here’s why:

Welded not  Furnace Brazed. Contrary to popular belief, furnace brazing is not the best way to adhere torque converter components to together. Just like a Teflon coated pan, after some time the furnace brazing will erode away and ruin the stators and all other rotating parts in your transmission. All of ACC torque converters are welded at the seams, not brazed, to eliminate the erosion after time.

Industrial Bearings - No Light Duty Needle Bearings. Needle bearings are good, but not great. Industrial bearings give these converters the ability to handle not hundreds, but thousands of pounds of torque. That’s much better then the higher priced alternative converters.

Aircraft Aluminum Washers - NO FIBER. ACC converters utilize an aircraft quality aluminum washer instead of those old fiber washers that other companies use. This allows for more horsepower and torque capabilities.

NO Automation - ALL HAND BUILT. ACC Performance torque converters are hand built and tested to ensure that you are getting the best converter money can buy. No automated process can ensure that you will get that kind of quality. Made here in the USA. (You old school people may remember ACC as Alabama Converters).

With all this new information, ask yourself one question. Are you paying too much money for not enough converter? We bet you are! All ACC Performance torque converters are warrantied for a period of 2 years to be free of defects in material or workmanship under normal operating conditions, providing normal application and installation methods are followed. This warranty does not cover any units that have been tampered with or altered prior to our inspection and is limited to the replacement of the defective torque converter upon inspection.

ACC Performance has been building High Quality Torque Converters since 1970.  ACC is known for extra strong converters that are lighter than the competition, meaning less rotating mass.  Remember stall ranges will vary depending on your application and that stall is an equation that comes from: engine setup vs. vehicle weight vs. gear ratio.

Torque converter fit and application is 100% the responsibility of buyer.

If you have any doubts to your application, call us at 515-733-2890 before bidding!

Paypal payments $750.00 and above will ship only by UPS/FedEx and require a signature on delivery.

Shipping is based on weight and size of package.  We will try to combine as many items into one package as possible but doing separate checkouts makes it hard.  Please message us for a quote before buying multiple items.

All items will be declared as actual value, we do not mark as "gift" or at a reduced value! Shipping costs are not figured into the actual value.

Wed, 29 May 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- This weekend was a car enthusiast's dream with the Indy 500, NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 and the Monaco Grand Prix.

VW Taigun Compact SUV heading for production

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

It was a good-looking and appealing effort from VW to tap in to the very compact SUV market, with a real family look (a Tiguan on a boil wash), peppy little 3-cylinder 1.0 litre engine delivering 108bhp and a 0-62mph of 9.2 seconds (with 60mpg economy) and enough room to carry stuff and people thanks to an extra 50mm in the wheelbase compared to the Up! Now it looks like the Taigun is heading for production after VW’s Chief designer, Klaus Bishoff, told Autoexpress that he deeply believed the Taigun would be heading for VW showrooms very soon, and could be sold in the UK and Europe as well as in emerging markets. So you can add the Taigun to the list of VW’s SUV offerings, and with new versions of the Tiguan and Touareg (perhaps based on the CrossBlue Concept) and a Polo based SUV on the way too, it looks like VW are covering all the bases.
