    GM Korea doubles size of its design center

    GM has invested $40million in its Korea Design Center, doubling the size of the facility. The expanded studio opened on 25 April, and will give improved support for both exterior and interior design. As well as more studio space, the upgraded facility now includes improved exterior modeling and 3D printing facilities, an outdoor viewing area with three turntables, and a virtual reality studio – the latter allowing design reviews to take place in real time with GM's network of nine other design centers in six other countries around the world.

    The 2011 BMW X3 - together with required camouflage To say that details have leaked is a bit disingenuous, as the leak has emanated from BMW. So although technically I suppose we should call it a leak because the details are not exactly concrete – and the photos are of camouflaged cars – it’s more of a tease than a leak. The photos tell us not a huge amount – it’s a new BMW X3 with some black and white bits on.

    Last week, Audi Board Member for technical development Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg was meandering down the California coast, sampling red wines. Vacation over and on his way to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show, he popped by Stanford University's Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Lab to speak to students who'd just returned from winter break themselves.
