| The new ATLAS exhaust is engineered to perform in the most extreme environments. This system is constructed from precision, mandrel bent 4” aluminized steel tubing for maximum flow, increased horsepower, increased torque and lower EGT’s. The 2-piece tailpipe and bayonet style hangers provide a hassle-free installation. To provide a leak-free seal, OE style band clamps are used that offer a 360º sealing area vs. cheap U-bolt clamps used in other systems. A 12" free-flowing straight-through designed muffler is used to produce a deep, powerful sound. Systems are available in 4” turbo back or 4” down pipe back with or without muffler. Renault revives Gordini hot hatch brand
Tue, 10 Nov 2009Renault is to revive the Gordini name, using it on range-topping versions of its Renaultsport Twingo, Clio and Megane hot hatches. The first new-generation Gordini will be based on the Renaultsport Twingo 133, and be unveiled on 25 November 2009 at Renault's premier showroom on the Champs Elysees. The new car will be called the Twingo Gordini RS, and then a Clio Gordini RS will follow in spring 2010.
Cash-for-clunkers clears 180,000 in sales, is poised for an extension
Thu, 06 Aug 2009The cash-for-clunkers program has reached sales of more than 180,000--topped by the Toyota Corolla--as the Senate is poised to vote on an extension of the program on as soon as Thursday. The Ford Focus is the second-best-selling car under the program, and the Honda Civic, the Toyota Prius and the Camry complete the top five, according to Reuters. The top trade-ins were all domestics, including trucks from Ford and Dodge, as well as Jeep.
Chevrolet Sonic turbo gets six-speed automatic
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Chevrolet Sonic fans who want the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine but don't want a manual transmission are in luck. Chevrolet is now shipping the Sonic with a six-speed automatic mated to the turbo engine. Fuel economy for the turbo Sonic, despite the automatic, is 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, with a 0-to-60-mph time of about eight seconds, Chevy says.
