It may be leaden with PR-talk but this short presentation by Yasushi Nakamuta, Mazda's director of advanced design studio at the press unveiling of the new Mazda 3 in Melbourne is still worth a couple of minutes of your time. But while the 3 is undeniably attractive we can't help but feel that the 'unique' design process Nakamuta describes (which appears wholly conventional to us) has resulted in little more than a thoroughly normal product. Doonan joined Mazda North American Operations in 2003 and worked in the company's advertising and marketing department. He became manager of motorsports team development before 2005.

We have the first photo of the 5-door Kia Cee’d GT – a Cee’d with the engine from the Hyundai Veloster Turbo – ahead of a 2013 Geneva reveal. We already know that Kia are planning to launch the 3-door Pro_Cee’d GT with the engine from the Veloster Turbo because they’ve told us, and they’ve sent us some details of its specification and photos too. We also know that there will be a 5-door Kia Cee’d GT – with the same Turbo engine – although so far Kia hasn’t sent us details or photos.
