Ford B-Max to go in to production

Ford are to begin production of the Ford B-Max crossover. The Iosis Concept (pictured) gives us a clue on how it will look. It’s been a while coming, but it looks like Ford’s replacement for the Fusion is now ready to go in to production in Romania as the Ford B-Max, sitting below the newly sorted S-Max and looking to take on the likes of the new Vauxhall Meriva.

Vuhl to debut 05 car at Goodwood Festival

A Mexico-based carmaker says it will debut what it calls a supercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. The company is named Vuhl—pronounced “vool”—and its first product will be the 05, described as a road-legal lightweight car engineered for the track. We don't know much about the 05, and Vuhl didn't give us much to go on besides a teaser photo of the car's front end.

In 1962, Mercedes-Benz launched a research program to investigate the development of the Wankel rotary engine and its potential both on the road and track. While the early mule wasn't a looker, the prototype's design continued to evolve until a public unveiling of the C111-I concept, designed by Bruno Sacco, at the 1969 Frankfurt motor show. The coupé may have looked like the systematic further development of the Sport Light models from the ‘50s with its gullwing doors, but it wasn't a design study for a new SL.
