Mercedes announces schedule for 2013 AMG Driving Academy

Drink driving deaths UP by 25%
Thu, 17 Oct 2013Drink-drive related road deaths rose by 25% last year, with a staggering one in six fatalities on the UK’s roads connected to alcohol consumption, according to the latest government figures. Department for Transport (DfT) data revealed that 290 people lost their lives through drink-drive crashes during 2012, marking a significant increase from the 230 individuals killed in 2011. After reporting more than a year ago that Aston Martin urgently needed a new owner, or major investor, if it is to survive, it became clear earlier this month that Aston Martin was ready to acknowledge that need as the Kuwait Investment Dar starting seeking a buyer for the majority of its majority stake in AML. So far we’ve had Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata (owners of Jaguar Land Rover), Toyota and unnamed Chinese investors in the frame, but it seems the race to take a big chunk of Aston Martin Lagonda has come down to just two – Mahindra and Investindustrial.
