Full description:

The Best Marine AM-FM Antenna with exclusive 2 1/8 inch diameter mount with rubber gasket seal. Snag free no exposed wire design with convenient removable 10.5 inch antenna. Includes stainless steel screws. The SCOUT KS 100 is the ultimate AM-FM antenna designed to withstand the harsh marine and out doors environment for all types of boats. The durable UV protected soft vinyl antenna will stay bright white for many years. Superior reception thanks to decreased interference from electronics with included ground wire that should attach to your negative battery terminal or large metal structure.  Tightly braided tinned copper shielding is found in the included Scout cable. This design requires a smaller access hole to get the job done so less drilling through your console while the included gasket prevent leaks. The antenna can easily be twisted and stowed away.  This is the only product option available that installs without the need to travel to the hardware store. The 13.75 ft AM-FM cable with jack connects directly into the back of the radio. While most marine radios can connect to other devices via AUX or Bluetooth to stream your own music, devices such as your expensive phone loose their charge or worse get water exposure. The Am-Fm signal is the best way to get music playing on board. Poor quality antennas will take more than double the time and work to install, will probably leak water into the wood of your console, Fade, rust, and fail within a year. Do the job once, do it right with an Italian hand made Scout Antenna. Scout is a second generation company that has been making the best marine antennas  since 1982 in Modena, Italy not far from where Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini’s are built. Miami Boat Gear is the official US distributor with a warehouse in Miami. Expect to receive your product quickly.

Install instructions: Simply drill a small center hole and pilot screw holes. Use the drill in reverse until you pass the gel coat to prevent chipping and use a vacuum while drilling to reduce dust. Connect the cable to the radio first, then guide the wire through any holes to the antenna. Attach it to your antenna with the washer and nut provided. Lastly, add the gasket to the bottom of the antenna, place it down and screw it in with a tab of silicone with included stainless steel screws. Now enjoy the tunes.

Own a Toyota? Get a cheap garage door

Thu, 04 Mar 2010

Got a Toyota? Get a cheap garage door Life has not been a bed of roses for Totota owners just lately with the Toyota Recall in full swing round the globe. They’ve suffered the indignity of having to swap the smugness many had about the real world reliability of their chosen transport tosuffering not just the worry of whether their own Toyota has a potentially lethal fault, but the severe mickey-taking of non-Toyota owners.

Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets Liquid Metal paint job for Dubai Motor Show

Sun, 10 Nov 2013

The Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets Liquid Metal paint job for Dubai Motor Show The Jaguar C-X17 Concept arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September as Jaguar’s first nod towards a sports SUV – although Jaguar consider the C-X17 a Sport Crossover, not an SUV – and, although dubbed a concept, it’s a firm marker for a Jaguar Crossover arriving in the next couple of years. That perception is given more credence by the arrival of the C-X17 at the Dubai Motor Show all spruced up with a new paint job - a lustrous Liquid Aluminium liquid metal finish. It’s a similar route to garner column inches Jaguar took with the C-X16 Concept (which turned in to the Jaguar F-Type) with extra coverage garnered after the reveal at Frankfurt in 2011 with a new white paint job - Neutron White – for the Los Angeles Auto Show a couple of months later.

'27% would drive into floodwater'

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

A DEVIL-MAY-CARE attitude amongst drivers is commonplace when it comes to flooded roads, according to a survey. Nearly 2% would ignore a road-closed sign, while 42% would blindly follow the vehicle in front if it managed to cross a flooded road successfully, the poll shows. Around a quarter of drivers (27%) would attempt to go through moving floodwater nearly 12in (30cm) deep, according to the Populus survey conducted for the Environment Agency and the AA.
