This new high-performance Neoprene (CR) and aramid fiber loaded rubber belt offers Original Equipment (OE) technology featuring trapezoid top-notch and rounded cog design for superior flexibility and heat dissipation. G-Force belts are engineered for drop-in performance utilizing aramid reinforced fiber loaded rubber and advanced aramid tensile cords surrounded by specially formulated adhesion gum to reduce edge cord pullout and increase belt life.

Gates has developed proprietary design equipment and software that work together to create belts that are a precise fit to the OE. Not a consolidation of sizes – the exact same fit. Using Profiler VT™, Gates state-of-the-art 2-D laser profilometer together with Gates PTWorks measuring software, profile characteristics and specifications are identified including belt length, width, pitch, thickness and angle. The data from Profile VT is fed into PTWorks where it is analyzed and compared to test results, which ensure that G-Force belts meet the same shift characteristics, speed ratios, durability and vehicle performance requirements as the OE belt. |

Tue, 14 May 2013Volkswagen Group and Ford Motor Co. fared well among automakers in an annual study released Monday measuring quality and how deeply consumers feel about a new car or light-truck purchase after several months of ownership. And for the first time in over a decade, domestic automakers, led by GM, topped foreign brands in individual product segments surveyed by Strategic Vision, a California research and consulting firm.

Mercedes will have plenty to show visitors to Switzerland next month – including the new CLA – and they’ll also have this morning’s Mercedes news – the Mercedes C 63 AMG Edition 507. The C63 AMG Edition 507 - available as saloon, coupe or estate – looks like a final hurrah for the current C Class AMG (the new C Class will arrive in 2014), and Mercedes has made a decent effort to make the Edition 507 more than just a jump in power.
