Arp Cylinder Head Stud Kit, Ford V6 P/n 153-4001(???) on 2040-parts.com
Beaverton, Oregon, United States
I bought these several years ago for a 3.8L V6 Ford Mustang project that got cancelled. They are not in the factory package, but have never been used. HOWEVER: The longer of the studs have been trimmed off about .100-.125", just enough to eliminate the internal Hex key hole, which amounts to about 2 1/2 threads. I don't know why they're shortened. I "THINK" the ARP part number is 153-4001, but I am not certain. So, I will write down all the dimensions so you can double-check and see if these will work for you.
Quantity is (8) short studs, (8) long studs, (16) hex nuts, and (16) flat washers. -- Also included is a small packet of ARP Assembly Lube, which is to "USE TO PRECISELY DUPLICATE ALL ARP FASTENER PRELOAD SPECIFICATIONS". SHORT Studs: 4" long, with 1" long 7/16"-20 threads on the end that has a 3/16" hex socket hole x .135" deep. The other end has coarser threads, which are 1" long 11mm-1.5 (no hex socket hole) LONG Studs: 6.2" long, with 0.9" long 7/16"-20 threads on the end that NO LONGER has a 3/16" hex socket hole in it. The other end has coarser threads, which are 1" long 11mm-1.5 (no hex socket hole) HEX Nuts: 7/16"-20, 5/8" Hex, 7/16" Thick FLAT Washers: .812 O.D. x .445"I.D x .118" Thick I hope these work for you and you get a great deal on an expensive ARP Head Stud Set. Please feel welcome to ask any questions. Shipping cost is for the Continental USA. If you want these shipped elsewhere, please contact me for a shipping quote. Thanks Much! Don |

Range Rover LRX announced
Thu, 24 Sep 2009The Range Rover LRX will debut in 2010 and go on sale in 2011 We last reported on the Land Rover LRX last month, when it became pretty clear that Land Rover are pushing ahead with the project after receiving some Government funding for the LRX Concept in March. And it seemed that they were planning to show the RR LRX in June next year – 40 years on from the first showing of the original luxury off-roader – the Range Rover – in 1970. That now seems to be confirmed, with Land Rover stating the LRX will debut next year and go on sale in 2011.

Subaru Impreza Concept at LA
Thu, 18 Nov 2010The Subaru Impreza Concept revealed at LA Motor Show A new Subaru Impreza – or the Subaru Impreza Concept, to be precise – is not something we had on the radar for the Los Angeles Motor Show. In fact the only thing we really had on the radar for Subaru was perhaps the Subota Coupe; certainly not a new Impreza. Subaru aren’t calling the Impreza Concept the new Impreza, but I think we’ll assume there’s a clue in the name.
