ATP Transmission filters are designed is to keep the life blood of your transmission (transmission fluid) clean. Every transmission will eventually accumulate debris from normal wear and tear. It is critical that the transmission fluid is kept clean so that the valve body and other vital components do not become clogged making them in-operable. Now Located in Elk Grove Ill. a suburb of Chicago ATP has a 92 000 sq. ft. facility that allows for quick order turn and a fill rate consistently over 98 percent. All sales cataloging product management advertising and merchandising activities are handled internally by the ATP marketing staff. Catalogs and packaging are designed to cross-sell related parts to make the professional service technician’s job easier. The company first supplied automatic transmission replacement parts and over the years has expanded its product offering to include automatic transmission filter kits repair kits cables flywheel and ring gears cabin air filters and chemicals. In 2001 the Graywerks by ATP line was introduced. This line consists of exhaust manifolds harmonic balancers timing covers and engine and transmission pans.

As we reported in 2012 Nissan, having spent countless hundreds of millions replacing the Datsun name with Nissan on its cars a generation ago, decided to revive the Datsun brand for a new range of affordable cars for emerging markets. It looks like the new Datsun – codenamed K2 – will be a mix of the current and last generation Micra with new styling and pitched at around £3500 when it launches in the Indian car market. With the same – but de-tuned – 1.2 litre petrol engine as the Micra, the new Datsun is aimed at cars like the Indian market Hyundai i10 and Maruti, and sales are expected to start in early 2014.

Last year Honda took the CR-V 1.6i-DTEC out MPG Marathon playing, and managed to return an impressive 78mpg in a car the official figures say should do 63mpg, disproving (to a point) that cars just can’t achieve official economy figures in the real world. This time it’s the turn of the new Honda Civic Tourer with the latest 1.6 i-DTEC ‘Earth Dreams’ engine to go out and eke every possible inch of tarmac from every single drop of petrol. In the hands of Honda R&D engineers Fergal McGrath, James Warren, Tony Shiggins and Julian Warren, the Civic Tourer drove a total of 330 miles and managed to do 97.2mpg – an impressive 31.8 per cent more than the official average.
