This is the engine, head and intake manifold from a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 TO THE TUNE OF $2800. WHAT SAYS DISCOUNT ON THE RECEIPT IS ACTUALLY A DEPOSIT.. The motor was built in 2003 to go into a project car that was never finished, it has been sitting since 2003 with the cylinders oiled, still turns over nicely. This motor has been machined and fitted with performance components, pistons are +30 (SEE RECEIPTS FOR COST ($2766) AND DETAILS OF THE MACHINING AND MODIFICATIONS). Missing lifters, rocker arms, and rocker shaft. THE FLYWHEEL HAS BEEN LIGHTENED! This auction is for local pick up only, freight can be arranged at the purchasers expense (engine weights about 500 - 600 lbs.). Ubid shipping is a great place to get bids. We were close, but its actually McLaren Special Operations -  and not McLaren Exclusive –  that’s doing the customising. But the principle is the same; McLaren will do pretty much anything you want done to your McLaren – as they always have – but with the McLaren Road Car division growing all the time it will all now come under the banner of the new  McLaren Special Operations division.

It has not been two minutes since the Volkswagen Golf R was unveiled, but that hasn’t stopped an even more hardcore Golf R Evo concept being mooted – the more focused prototype could make its debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show in April. It’s not the only go-faster Volkswagen that’s under consideration, either.
