Bidding on a very rarely available original Amco center console that fits Bugeye Sprites and early square body Sprites and Midgets.   This console has never been used, it was purchased many years ago and stored ever since. It's in excellent original condition with the original instructions, unopened chrome mounting screws and washers, and the original unused cigarette lighter.   This is a really rare, hard to find period correct accessory.  I bought it to install into my restored Bugeye but have decided to sell the car instead so I never installed it.   The armrest is black vinyl with a small storage compartment underneath.  The chrome grill hides a radio speaker.  There are wires for the cigarette lighter and speaker,

New cameras spot traffic offences

ILLEGAL turns or misuse of yellow-box junctions are liable to be caught out by remote cameras in a pioneering initiative by a borough council. The first unattended CCTV enforcement system for moving traffic offences has been introduced by Redbridge council in east London. The council said the scheme was working well, with "serious traffic contraventions" captured.

Campaign to tackle used car faults

A NEW INITIATIVE by the Trading Standards Institute (TSI) to help the public avoid the dangers of buying a used car has been launched. It comes after research by the TSI that shows a half of all used cars show up with a fault within a month of being bought by a new owner. In the past 12 months, the TSI has received 84,000 complaints about used cars.
