Authentic 1968-71 Porsche 911 912 Exterior Durant Mirror - Very Nice

If you're restoring, or just maintaining, a vintage Porsche then you've probably discovered that nothing fits your car like original, German-made parts. That's especially true regarding the delicate exterior trim parts like the mirrors because they tended to take so much abuse over the years.

This original, Durant mirror was removed from a well-maintained 1970 911S many years ago and has been carefully stored ever since. It's in very nice, original condition (especially for a 40+ year old part) with no dents or significant damage, only moderate patina and excellent glass. No, it's not perfect. But it could be close with a little polishing and some work loosening the pivot which has stiffened up after all these years.

For U.S. customers, I will ship this item for $8.00.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and the parts I have for sale on eBay are all parts that, at one time or another, were purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. I own some of the finest Porsches in the world. I don’t own junk and I don’t sell junk. Thanks for looking.

The new Speedback is based on the Jaguar XKR and uses its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 motor to produce over 500hp. It’s been 18 months in development and has been engineered in Coventry – and will use hand-crafted bodywork produced in the automotive city, too.

Fiat 500 by Diesel – now it’s the convertible 500C by Diesel

Sat, 10 Apr 2010

The Fiat 500C by Diesel Fiat has been trying hard to churn out as many limited edition versions of the 500 as MINI have managed on their own re-created motoring icon. That’s probably an impossible target (we reckoned that MINI managed a new model a month last year) but that’s not going to stop Fiat having a good old bash at milking the ‘Limited Edition’ market. One of the earliest limited edition specials from the Fiat 500 was the ‘Style’ makeover from designers Diesel.

McLaren P1 to make its driving debut at 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

The new McLaren P1 supercar is heading for the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed to make its driving debut in the Supercar run. We’ve also had McLaren F1 new boy Sergio Perez driving the P1 round the Top Gear Dunsfold track and Ron Dennis telling us he got round the Top Gear track in the P1 a good 10 seconds quicker than any other road car ever has. But now we’re actually going to see the McLaren P1 driven in anger.
