Mon, 03 Dec 2007

By Motor Industry 03 December 2007 09:43 Bargain hunters rejoice! Nissan's new GT-R costs just £34,400 in Japan - spelling out juicy savings for grey importers in the UK, where the super-coupe is tipped to cost £60,000. Even after the cost of shipping and import duties, that means you could land a Japanese-spec car for around £42-£45k.

You don't have to wait until 2011 to go topless in a Camaro

Spending $16,000 or more to make a Camaro into a Camaro convertible isn't a rational decision, but we can certainly understand people wanting one. We drove the concept version of this car from Chevrolet two years ago ("Top This!" AW, July 2, 2007) and loved it. Back then, Chevrolet planned to release a convertible version of the new Camaro in November 2009, but an economic cliff intervened, pushing production to the second quarter of 2011.

Jaguar XKR-S: UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Sat, 12 Mar 2011

The Jaguar XKR-S will make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 Jaguar has revealed that its fastest car in a generation – and its fastest series production car ever – the Jaguar XKR-S is to make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. Which has surprised us a bit – we rather expected it to start turning up before that. But in lots of ways it makes sense to have Jaguar’s new Cat with Big Claws making waves on the  Goodwood Hillclimb as the Goodwood Festival of Speed is going to be something of  Jaguar-fest this year.
