Jaguar Land Rover celebrate James Bond SKYFALL & 50 years of Bond films (video)
Tue, 18 Sep 2012Jaguar Land Rover are celebrtaing 50 years of Bond films – and the new James Bond film SKYFALL – at this year’s Paris Motor Show. We reported last year that Jaguar Land Rover looked like they’d got some decent product placement in the latest James Bond film (SKYFALL – known then as ‘Bond 23′) and now, with Bond celebrating 50 years, the 2012 Paris Motor Show imminent and the Bond SKYFALL film about to hit cinemas, it’s time for some Jaguar Land Rover PR. We may think of Aston Martin when we think of Bond, but Jaguar has made sure they’ve got plenty of screen time in SKYFALL.
New Audi S6 and S6 Avant (2012) Frankfurt Preview
Wed, 31 Aug 2011New Audi S6 and S6 Avant (2012) at Frankfurt Frankfurt 2011 is going to be something of an Audi ‘S’ Fest, with four new 2012 ‘S’ models making a début, including these – the Audi S6 and the Audi S6 Avant. There’s little to choose between the S6 and S6 Avant in performance terms, just as you’d expect, with both cars featuring Audi’s new 4.0 litre TFSI V8 with 420bhp and 406lb/ft of torque (that’s the same V8 we will see in the Bentley Continental GT – and probably at Frankfurt too). That’s enough to take the S6 to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds, with the S6 Avant just the smallest bit behind at 4.9 seconds, and on to an electronically governed 155mph.
Porsche's new '911': the Cayenne fire engine
Wed, 10 Sep 2008By Nick Eaton First Official Pictures 10 September 2008 10:13 Another day, another Porsche variant. Stuttgart's fire department has taken delivery of two red-hot Cayennes with a difference: they're emergency vehicles which have been specially tweaked by Porsche's Training Centre for the city's firemen. The Stuttgart fire service claims that the hilly topography of the city meant it needed all-terrain emergency vehicles, and the project was given to local firm Porsche because the Cayenne served up the firemen's needs for something that can go anywhere fast. Nothing at all with them wanting to arrive in style or make neeh-naah noises in a Porsche.
