Snappily named as the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S, it’s a convertible version of the special edition 722 variant. And yes, Merc is indeed eking all it can out of the SLR supercar before the SL Black and SLC/Gullwing arrive.

Nissan Nissan has issued this new-year teaser of the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept - understood to be a look at the new US-market Maxima saloon. The world debut of the Sport Sedan Concept is due at the North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit Motor Show, starting on Monday 13 January 2014. Although only this solitary shadowy teaser image has been issued today, we can make out a new front-end design on the sports saloon concept car.

Designed by Jason Castriota, the all-new vehicle is a clear evolution of the company's first car, which also featured a cab-forward, large rear deck layout.
