2013 Buick Verano Turbo turns up the power
Tue, 12 Jun 2012Buick is adding a turbo variant this fall as the premium model for the Verano lineup. While it's meant to be sporty, the idea behind the sedan is to offer buyers a reasonably powerful option that allows for more amusing commutes, but admittedly, it isn't a dedicated performance model. Alfa Brera & Alfa Spider get new engines and Italia Independent trim
Sat, 15 May 2010The Alfa Brera & Alfa Spider get new engines and a new trim option Alfa Romeo introduced new engine options last year on the Alfa 159 – the 1750iTBi Petrol engine and the 2.0 litre JTDm diesel – which are now about to find their way in to the Alfa Brera and Alfa Spider. Which is a far from bad move. The 1750i Turbo manages to deliver 200bhp and a decent amount of torque – 236lb/ft from only 1400rpm – which makes it distinctly brisk – 7.7 & 7.8 seconds respectively to 62 mph for the Brera and Spider.
Toyota FT-86: Now standard FT-86 leaks
Sat, 29 Oct 2011The Toyota FT-86 leaks again - this time the standard model After what seems like years of waiting for Toyota’s sporty and ‘affordable’ sports car – the Toyota FT-86 – to arrive, information is coming thick and fast as the official debut looms at the Toyota Motor Show in a month’s time. Just a few days ago we had pictures of the Toyota FT-86 with Modellista extras, which gave us the clearest look yet at what the new FT-86 in production guise will offer. And now we get what appears to be a standard Toyota FT-86 from another Japanese brochure leak.
