Trying to install an FM Modulated device or antenna to Volvo S40 & V50? The BAA4050 FM Modulated Antenna adapter kit allows for a quick connection of an FM Modulated device or Aftermarket Antenna in 2004-Up Volvo S40/V50 equipped with a digital AM/FM Amplifier where the antenna is built-into the glass. In these vehicles, the glass antennas analog signal connects to an Amplifier which converts the analog signal to digital form and fed directly to the radio via snap-on connectors which must be converted to standard antenna connectors--- Enter the BAA4050. All FM Modulators require an Analog signal to work and because of that the BAA4050 installs before the digital amplifier thus splitting the Radio signal between the aftermarket device (e.g. FM Modulator) and the factory Radio. From that point you may continue installing the Modulator without interfering or disrupting the factory setup. The BAA4050 antenna adapter kit is a MUST have when installing an FM Modulated device in these Volvo applications. Installation 1. Disconnect the OEM Antenna terminals from glass 2. Connect the two snap-on sockets (female) to the snap-on studs on the glass 3. Connect the two snap-on studs (male) to the snap-on sockets on the OEM Antenna cable 4. Connect the Male DIN (Motorola) plug to the Antenna terminal on FM Modulated device 5. Connect the Female DIN (Motorola) connector to the Male Plug on the FM Modulated device
