Royal College of Art show 2014: the concept cars

Graduate students at the Royal College of Art in London were asked to create cars of the future, with a focus on sustainability and striking a real emotional chord with consumers. Fisker Karma Review Video Finally, after a rather lengthy wait, the Fisker Karma is making its way in to the hands of real customers. And real cars means the opportunity to review the Karma, something a US Fisker dealer has put on video. Of course, a video review of Henrik Fisker’s baby from a franchised dealer – even when they get a pro driver to do it – is perhaps never going to be the most objective piece of reporting ever seen, but it does at least give us the opportunity for a real-world view of the Karma.

Ford Focus ECOnetic (2010) revealed at Frankfurt

Ford has revealed the 2010 Focus ECOnetic at Frankfurt For the first time Ford has made Start-Stop an option, which was something we thought should be added to the Fiesta ECOnetic when we had it. The Focus ECOnetic also benefits from Smart Regenerative Charging and something called Tension FEAD (no, we had no idea either, but apparently it reduces friction) which help make the new ECOnetic Focus more economical and less polluting. With Stop-Start fitted to the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi the Focus manages to hit the magic 99g/km mark.
