Honda CR-Z Mugen (2011): the first sketches
Thu, 17 Mar 2011This is our first glimpse of the new, Mugen-tweaked Honda CR-Z. Developed by Mugen Euro, the UK-based arm of Honda’s long-standing tuning partner Mugen, this CR-Z features a whole raft of tweaks to turn it into a hot hybrid. As with the previous UK-spec Civic Type R Mugen, this new Mugen model is currently being touted as a one-off prototype, but just as that Civic was then built in limited numbers the same may happen with the CR-Z – and the individual parts may become available as aftermarket accessories too.
Renault, Caterham form joint venture to build sports cars
Mon, 05 Nov 2012Two lightweight two-seat sports cars, likely to be on sale in 2015 or 2016, will be the first output of a joint venture between French automaker Renault and U.K. sports car maker Caterham that was announced Monday. Renault will put its Alpine factory in Dieppe and its 300-person workforce into the 50:50 joint venture.

Step forward the latest of these – the Brilliance V5 - which we originally thought would be the Brilliance A3. Interestingly, Brilliance is actually BMW’s partner in China, and the BMW Brilliance Automotive partnership will shortly be launching the real-deal BMW X1 in China.
