Audi A2 EV won’t make production – but you knew that

Audi has revealed that it’s dropped plans to put the A2 electric concept – first revealed at Frankfurt 2011 - in to production. Back in June 2012 we reported that the Audi A2 EV wouldn’t make production as Audi had decided that the market simply wasn’t there for a £40k electric city runaround. Now that appears to have been confirmed by Audi in conversation with Autocar.

Top Gear Series 20 starts on Sunday

Top Gear’s back on Sunday Top Gear is back with Series 20, starting this coming Sunday (30th June). On offer for the first episode (more details on Sunday morning) will be the arrival of the new ‘Reasonably Priced Car’ with help from the likes of Warwick Davis, Charles Dance and Joss Stone, a trip to New Zealand to race an America’s Cup Yacht and a hot hatch fight-off between the Renaultsport Clio 200, Peugeot 208 GTI and Ford Fiesta ST. Koenigsegg Agera R gets Guinness World Speed Record - Video One of the speed records set back in September by the incredible Koenigsegg Agera R has now been ratified by Guinness - 0-300-0 km/h (0-186-0 mph) in 21.9 seconds. As we say every time Koenigsegg jumps in to vision with another bonkers car or speed feat, we’re amazed at just what a handful of men with beards (except Christian von Koenigesgg – who doesn’t seem to have a hair to his name) can do from a shed in the snow of Sweden. What makes Koenigsegg even more impressive is that it’s not just that they  produce a stunning looking hypercar, but that they do it all themselves.
