This newly designed switch is a huge improvement over the previous "joystick" controller which gave no indication when trim tabs were operating.  It is definitely user friendly and a quarter of the price for an LED indicating controller!

What the manufacturer says about the Euro Rocker Switch:

"This control is ergonomically designed, water resistant and provides a positive "click" when the trim tabs are engaged.
Its lock-out feature prevents user from pressing down on opposite directions at the same time. The control is easy to install, fitting into a single 2 1/2" hole."

New Land Rover Freelander will actually be a Discovery

Wed, 22 May 2013

It seems – as we expected – that Land Rover are looking to make more sense of their range of off-roaders as new models are launched, and are going to concentrate on three core brands – Range Rover, Discovery and Defender – instead of the current mish-mash where many models really overlap with others (the top end Discoverys are really a cheaper Range Rover). So the next Freelander will become an entry-level Discovery with underpinnings borrowed from the Evoque (which is itself based on the current Freelander platform, a development of the Ford Galaxy’s platform), and arrive in both 5-seat and 7-seat guise, with the new Discovery ’5′ getting a platform based on the new Range Rover and perhaps spawning two models. The new Discovery range will be targeted as a ‘Lifestyle’ core range for Land Rover (much as the original Disco was) and the Range Rover range will be both sporty and luxurious, with a 7-seat Grand Evoque XL joining the current Evoque, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover.

Chevrolet Mi-ray concept

Thu, 31 Mar 2011

Making its debut at the Seoul Motor Show is the Chevrolet Mi-ray. The Mi-ray, which takes its name from the Korean for future, is a hybrid sports car that is the first concept car from the Korean arm of GM. Which, considering its name, aptly represents the future of the brand as well as the ‘future of muscle cars.' Said to take influence from past Detroit legends such as the 1963 Monza SS and Corvair Super Spyder, the Mi-ray features a pleathora of sporting influences, making its intentions clear.
