Berkeley 12 JE-A Main Jet Pump / Place Diverter W/ Hydraulic Control - ALL rebuilt. Main pump has (major) rebuild kit expertly installed by Rocket Marine. Place diverter was used one season, then pump and diverter were removed and bead blasted for powder coating and rebuild. The boat hull was damaged (rotten stringers- old CV-23) and rebuild project failed. This drive pump was fully reconditioned to like-new. This unit must be broken in following Berkeley's procedures for new or rebuilt pumps. A lot of pictures were taken so you can see how nice all of the joint surfaces are. No scratches, pitting or wear on any mating surfaces. All fittings should be loctited and all bearings greased, currently all moving parts are coated with anti-seize compound. This pump is ready to go. Will retrofit Dominator TD or Berkeley JF hull. Created to discover the latest crop of Chinese design talent, this year's contest – open to full-time students studying a design discipline of any kind in China – features briefs from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Geely, JAC, Qoros and UD Trucks. May bids to build Mecanno motorbike
Tue, 26 Nov 2013TOP GEAR star James May must be getting Meccano for Christmas because he is using the classic toy to build a motorbike and sidecar to race the Isle of Man TT circuit for a new show. The episode of his Toy Stories series, called The Motorcycle Diaries, sees May get to grips with a construction kit to try to build a vehicle capable of carrying him and co-star Oz Clarke around the 37-mile course. In previous episodes James May and his team have built a giant slot-car racing track, a full size Airfix replica of a Spitfire and a giant toy glider.
Aston Martin teases new car – could this be the ‘Final Edition’ V12 Vantage? (video)
Sat, 25 May 2013This tease image from the Aston Martin video appears to show a V12 Vantage outline We reported recently that Aston Martin had told its dealers to stop taking orders for the V12 Vantage Coupe, which we took to mean the Vantage is coming to the end of its shelf life, at least in its current iteration. But a tease video Aston Martin has released for a new car perhaps – ‘Coming Soon’ – points to a final edition version of the V12 Vantage Coupe before it gets put out to grass. The video (below) does show what appears to be a V12 Vantage; it’s the right shape, it has bonnet vents, bits of carbon fibre and an exhaust that sounds about right.
