Biltwell Inc. Thunder Risers
This item fits:
Most models
Construction: Investment-cast and CNC-machined stainless steel. 5/16” x 18 t.p.i. Stainless steel bar clamp hardware.
Fitment: This one-piece riser fits rigid- and rubber-mounted top trees with 3.5” (89mm) center-to-center mounting holes only (Wide Glide, Narrow Glide, H-D aftermarket trees, etc.) If your top tree has different mounting holes, Thunder risers will not fit your motorcycle. Also, the holes on your trees must accept 1/2” O.D. hardware. The lower clamp is threaded to accept 1/2-13 mounting hardware (not included).
Details: A large number of late-model Harley owners who prefer tall handlebars convinced us to develop the Thunder risers. This riser’s one-piece design increases riser stiffness and clamping power on rubber-mounted top trees, and is a boon to performance and style on practically any motorcycle. Bold branding is an uncommon site on most of our motorcycle parts, but we think the retro hotrod styling works on this high-quality component.

Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept revealed ahead of Paris debut
Mon, 29 Sep 2014Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept revealed ahead of Paris debut It looks like Kia is ready to push the start button on a new range of mild hybrids with the reveal of the Kia Optima T-Hybrid concept ahead of its debut later this week at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The new mild hybrid powertrain isn’t going to make an enormous difference to power or economy, but in a world where taxation gets based on official CO2 figures it will make the Optima more appealing to company car buyers. The Optima hybrid gets the normal 1.7 litre diesel engine and adds a small electric motor powered by a 48V lead-carbon battery which will be enough for short running at low speeds on electric power alone or allow some electric ‘cruising’ on motorways.
Geneva motor show: Autoweek editors' picks
Wed, 05 Mar 2014From the wildest, most absurd supercars only a few oligarch gazillionaires will ever own to dinky econohaulers giving mobility to whole populations, Geneva had it all. We ogled everything from McLarens and Maseratis to Twingos and Tatas. If in fact Europe is still struggling in some ways to recover from the recession, it sure didn't look that way at the Geneva motor show: The Swiss show was out of neutral and had the hammer down.

Slotting in below the firm’s hot VXR variant, this latest addition to the Astra range boasts 197 horsepower and is the same unit that also powers Vauxhall’s premium drop-top, the Cascada.
