THE CROSSOVER bubble seems to be far from bursting, with Toyota revealing a sneak preview of the car it hopes can challenge the Nissan Qashqai. The C-HR concept will be revealed fully for the first time at the Paris Motor Show at the beginning of October. It is said to be fitted with a hybrid drivetrain and is likely to be based on the same chassis that underpins the Lexus NX compact SUV that has recently been launched to global media.

Ford MyKey system now limits cell phone use for teens

Ford's MyKey system has been able to limit speeds and audio volume to improve teen-driver safety. Now, new technology will allow the system to limit cell phone use as well. Launching on the 2012 Ford Explorer, the new technology means that, when hooked up to Sync, the teen's phone will send calls to voicemail and save texts for later reading, but drivers can still make voice-activated outgoing calls.
