2012 Infiniti FX Facelift UK

A facelift for the Infiniti FX has been revealed for the UK and Europe – the same facelift the US got last summer.

Infiniti won’t believe us, but we do think the Infiniti FX has a lot to recommend it. There’s a decent choice of engines, it seems to ride well enough and can show a lot of competitors a clean pair of heels. And it’s Infiniti’s best-selling car in Europe.

Not that ‘best-selling’ means it’s leaving Infiniti dealers in droves. Infiniti actually managed to sell fewer cars in the UK in March than Saab (yes, really) and only shifted 144 cars in the first quarter of 2012.

Now Infiniti have sent us an email to say they’ve launched a facelift for the FX for 2012. Which is the same facelift – as far as we can tell – as the US got last summer. The FX facelift Infiniti told us they didn’t need in the UK because “…customers who bought FX cited its design as an important motivation towards their purchase so we will be monitoring reaction.”

Which we took to mean they had to much unsold stock of the FX they couldn’t launch a facelift until they’d got rid of it.

The facelifted FX gets the new Infiniti front grill, reshaped bumper, new alloys and some fresh colour options, one of which is Iridium Blue – the same colour Infiniti used in the US to launch these 2012 FX tweaks last year.

Prices stay the same in the UK for the facelift as for the current model:

The 2012 Infiniti FX – with the facelift – can now be grabbed across the UK and Europe.
