2013 Chrysler 300 John Varvatos limited edition to be auctioned at Cattle Baron's Ball

The newly remodeled Cobo Center will host the 11th annua lAmerican Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball this Saturday with Chrysler as the presenting sponsor.

Over the past decade, the event has raised over $10 million to help with efforts to combat cancer and to support those currently battling the disease. The American Cancer Society is marking its 100th anniversary.

One of the main highlights of the event will be the live auction, which will feature many exclusive and unique items. Some pieces of interest include:

A 2013 Chrysler 300 John Varvatos limited edition, in addition to a shopping spree at the John Varvatos Bowery Store in New York.

A custom-designed Voodoo Chopper motorcycle will be donated by Ford and Voodoo Choppers.

A three-day, two-night trip to Las Vegas, including a SRT Track Experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

A three-day, two-night trip to New York City and tickets to see “Motown: The Musical.”

A tour of the Chrysler product-design office with Ralph Gilles, president of the SRT brand and senior vice president of design at Chrysler.

A CTC Track experience with Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar.

A Ford Homestead-Miami NASCAR trip including three nights at the Fontainbleau Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida.

Guests who are unable to attend are invited to bid via phone. All the proceeds from the event will go directly to the American Cancer Society in support of programs and services for cancer research, prevention and early detection, as well as support for those currently facing cancer.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction and a number of activities in which guests can participate.
