2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Exhibition poster unveiled

Thu, 25 Apr 2013

The commemorative poster and program cover for the 2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition has been unveiled at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan.

Renowned automotive artist Steven Macy designed this year's edition and he was joined at the unveiling by Ford's former global vice president of Design Jack Telnack, John Tucker (grandson of American automobile designer and entrepreneur Preston Tucker) and Dr. Phillip Hessberg.

The poster, which shows a green 1948 Tucker in front of the gatehouse garage of the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, aims to link the two as the car's steering column and interior door releases were taken from Lincolns, the brand closely associated with Edsel Ford.

The Tucker in the poster is one of only 51 cars built by Tucker after World War II, and was declared "the car of tomorrow" because of its innovative design and features.

The 26th edition of the 2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition will be held on the mansion's grounds on 16 June.
