2013 Ford Fiesta Van Facelift arrives (+video)

Thu, 27 Dec 2012

Ford has given their Fiesta Van a facelift for 2013 with much the same changes the new Fiesta gets – including the Aston Martin grill.

Ford has decided it’s not just the new Fiesta that’s getting a touch of Aston Martin, it’s the Fiesta Van too. So the 2013 facelift for the Fiesta Van features most of the changes the new Fiesta gets, including that Aston Martin inspired grill on the nose.

The new Fiesta Van gets a choice of the new 1.5 litre Duratorq TDCi with 74bhp, the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi with 94bhp or the 1.25-litre Duratec petrol with 81bhp. Also on offer is the Fiesta Van ECOnetic with a tweaked version of the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi with stop-start, lower suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and aerodynamic titivation to squeeze every extra mile out of a gallon.

That all adds up to all the diesel options in the Fiesta Van offering better than 100g/km (and at least 76.4mpg as a consequence) and the ECOnetic Fiesta Van managing to get those figures down to 87g/km and 85.6mpg.

Tech stuff on the new Fiesta Van includes Ford MyKey (so van owners can control speed and audio depending on the driver), Ford Sync with Emergency Assistance and Active City Stop, and stuff like laser-cut headlights with LEDs, 17″ alloys (an option) and similar tweaks to the interior in line with the latest Fiesta hatch.

The 2013 Fiesta Van goes on sale in the UK in January. Ford hasn’t revealed prices, but they shouldn’t be a lot different to the £10,800 (+vat) of the current Fiesta Van.
