2013 Ford Kuga: Price from £20,895

Thu, 06 Dec 2012

The 2013 Ford Kuga will cost from £20,895 for the entry-level Kuga 1.6T EcoBoost  150PS Zetec, rising to £29,545 for the Kuga 2.0TDCi  163PS AWD Titanium X.

The starting point for entry in to the new Kuga is the  1.6T EcoBoost  150PS Zetec with FWD, which costs £1,000 less than the equivalent outgoing model, rising to the range-topping Kuga 2.0TDCi  163PS AWD Titanium X with all its bells and whistles for a shade under £30k.

In fact, Ford say that all the like-for-like models in the new Kuga range actually come in at a lower price than the old model, citing the best-selling 2.0-litre TDCi 163PS model which, at £25,545, is £355 cheaper than in the current Kuga.

Engine choices (at least for now) in the new Kuga are the 1.6 litre EcoBoost with either 140PS or 163PS or the 163PS 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel with 163PS, with either FWD or AWD and a choice of a six speed manual or Ford’s Powershift auto on the AWD versions.

All Kuga models get a decent spec including 17″ alloy wheels, Cruise, electric mirrors, AirCon, electric windows, Sports seats, TFT display screen (but not on the FWD Zetec), Hill Start and traler stability function.

Move up to the Kuga Titanium and you can add posher alloys, Sony DAB, Ford SYNC, part leather, auto lights and wipers, Climate and front scuff plates, with the Kuga Titanium X adding 18″ alloys, Panoramic roof, Bi-Xenons, LED running lights, full leather, rear LEDs and lumber support on the front passenger set.

Option Packs include Key Free (hands free kick-to-open tailgate), Family Pack (remote child proof rear door locks and power converter , Appearance Pack (aluminium roof rails and privacy), City Pack (parking sensors and electric, heated power mirrors), Convenience Pack (Active Park Assist and powered mirrors) and the Driver Assistance Pack (Blind Spot, Lane Keep, Active City Stop, Auto high beam, Traffic Sign Recognition and driver impairment monitor). So there’s not much chance you’ll come out with a standard spec Kuga.

The 2013 Ford Kuga is now available to order from Ford’s UK dealers with first customer cars due to arrive in early 2013.
