2013 Toyota RAV4: Price from £22,595

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Toyota has announced that the new Toyota RAV4 will cost from £22,595 for the RAV4 Active 2WD 2.0 Diesel to £29,295 for the Invincible AWD 2.2 Diesel.

The new RAV4 is better looking, bigger, promises better driving dynamics and more equipment than the current RAV4, but Toyota has still conspired to bring in the RAV4 entry point at a lower price than currently, albeit with a new, smaller engine.

Trim levels on the new RAV4 are now Active, Icon and Invincible with 4WD available on all trim levels except Active.

Active trim includes 17″ alloys, Bluetooth, AirCon, electric windows, front fogs, LED daytime lights, Hill Assist and privacy glass. Move up to the mid-range Icon Trim and you can add 18″ alloys (as long as you opt for an AWD version), Touchscreen with rear-view camera and DAB, power tailgate, folding door mirrors, Climate, Cruise, Auto wipers, Sports seats and splashes of leather in the interior.

Splash out for the range-topping RAV4 Invincible and you can add roof rails, leather, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, Smart entry and start and electric driver’s seat.

Entry point for the new RAV4 is now the RAV4 Active 2WD with the new 2.0 D-4D engine with a six-speed manual ‘box (which Toyota hasn’t really given us any details of yet) and only in 2WD.

For the Icon and Invincible trim you can opt for either 2WD or 4WD, with the new 2.0 D-D-4D available on the Icon trim (which also has the only petrol engine option – the 2.0 litre Valvematic with CVT and 4WD) and the rest of the range getting the more familiar 2.2 D-4D with either a six speed manual or six-speed auto.

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 is now available to order from Toyota UK with first customer cars due in March.
