Tue, 15 Oct 2013

The 2014 Acura ILX Hybrid goes on sale today in dealerships nationwide. The ILX hybrid model starts at $29,795 including destination. This Acura is the only luxury model that made the top-10 list of Generation Y car shoppers, according to J.D. Power and Associates.

Under the hood, Acura's 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine features an integrated motor-assist electric motor as well as a continuously variable transmission, and puts out 111 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque.

Buyers will be able to choose from two different trims on the Acura, the ILX Hybrid with the $29,795 base price and the ILX Hybrid with Technology Package starting at $35,495. Both trims will offer the same EPA estimated fuel economy rating of 39 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined. This is a decent improvement from the 2013 ILX model, which featured a fuel economy rating of 24/35/28.

The ILX Hybrid offers a number of standard features such as keyless access, Pandora interface, Bluetooth HandsFree link, power moonroof and aluminum wheels. The upgraded technology package includes ELS surround audio system, Acura navigation system with voice recognition, and AcuraLink Real-Time traffic and weather.
