Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The 2014 BMW X5 was officially revealed by the automaker about a month ago, but now the pricing has been officially released.

The rear-wheel drive X5 sDrive35i starts at $53,725 (all prices include destination and handling) while the all-wheel drive xDrive35i will start at $56,025. These models come with BMW's 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six laying down 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.

The higher-end X5 xDrive50i starts at $69,125 and comes with BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 445 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque.

BMW's diesel X5 (xDrive35d) will start at $57,525 and features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six diesel engine with 255 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque.

An eight-speed automatic transmission will be mated to all models of the X5 and the SUV will continue to be produced in Spartanburg, S.C.

For owners who would like to spruce up their rig, BMW is also adding some special packages available for the X5: the Luxury Line (more luxury cues like chrome), xLine (off-road styling) and the M Sport editions (sportier features).

Besides the diesel models, the new X5s will hit U.S. showrooms in late 2013 while the diesel will join the lineup a few months afterwards in early 2014.
