2015 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S priced at $184,995

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Aston Martin, known for making some of the best- looking cars on the road today, has released the pricing for its new 2015 V12 Vantage S sports car, placing it at $184,995.

Check here for our story covering the release of the car from earlier this month, but we'll give you a quick refresher below.

Propelled by a 6.0-liter V12 making 565 hp and 457 lb-ft, the car can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 205 mph. Horsepower is up by 11 percent while torque is up by 9 percent over the standard V12 Vantage.

With these numbers in place, Aston Martin claims it to be the “brand's fastest accelerating production car to date” (excluding the One-77).

A new seven-speed Sportshift III automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez states, “The new V12 Vantage S brings our winning GT3 race formula to the road. It's the most pure, yet understated, driving machine we can imagine today.”

The car gives its driver the ability to accurately tune ride and handling, select from different dynamic stability control modes and select from three damping settings. A new sport mode alters throttle response, gearshift timing and of course provides a welcomed louder exhaust note.

Also new for the car are carbon ceramic disc brakes, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and lighter wheels than the standard V12 Vantage. A ZF-Servotronic power assisted steering setup features a quicker 15:1 ratio along with a two-mode steering set up that matches the sport and normal driving roads respectively.

Expect the car to continue to be hand-built in England and to come with a wide array of color choices and interior upholstery options.

You can place an order now for delivery starting early 2014.
