The 2015 Honda Jazz prototype revealed ahead of Paris debut

It may be a year before the 2015 Honda Jazz arrives as a production model, but Honda are previewing the arrival of the new Jazz with a 2015 model prototype at the Paris Motor Show next month. The first photos of the 2015 Jazz (above and below) show a car that looks familiar but which is much changed, including a growth spurt that adds 30mm ro the wheelbase (but only 15mm to the length).

The new Jazz sits on Honda’s global compact platform – the same platform that underpins the Civic and the new HR-V – and keeps the central fuel tank with the benefits that offers of better interior room and practicality. The new Honda Jazz will also get Honda’s Magic Seats.

The Jazz prototype previews the next production Jazz which is due to arrive in summer 2015, and Honda are promising not just a new look but improvements in economy and performance thanks to their ‘Earth Dreams’ engine technology, in the new 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine which will come with a 6-speed manual or CVT ‘box.

Leon Brannan, Head of Car for Honda UK, said:

The Jazz is a hugely important car for Honda in the UK, and has been a runaway success since its original launch. It has an extremely loyal following, its reliability is legendary. The new Jazz with its sleek, modern design, refined and comfortable ride, will, we are confident, build even more loyal followers.

The 2015 Honda Jazz Prototype will be on Honda’s stand – alongside the new Honda HR-V compact SUV – at the Paris Motor Show in a couple of weeks.
