2015 Nissan Versa Note gets an upgrade

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Nissan revealed the 2015 Versa Note SR at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday. The hatchback was joined on the stand by the Frontier diesel pickup.

The SR trim of the diminutive Note gets a new front bumper and grille with dark headlight treatments and fog lights with black chrome accents. The side mirrors have been redesigned with integrated turn signals and the whole thing is capped off with a unique rear spoiler.

Other enhancements include a 370Z-inspired leather-wrapped steering wheel, “suede-like” seats and piano-black accents.

This is the sporty version of the Note, but in style only. Like the other Versas, the SR trim comes with Nissan's 1.6-liter four making 109 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque. A CVT is standard. The Note SR is rated at 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

The five-passenger Note offers 112.9 cubic feet of interior space, 18.8 cubic feet of that is reserved for cargo.

The Versa Note lineup grows to five trims: S, S Plus, SV, SL and SR. The top two trim packages go on sale this spring.
