A Very Merry F1 Christmas!

2008 has been a pretty eventful year in Formula 1. Lots of highs and lows; arguments over penalties for some drivers and not for others; new venues with stunning facilities and some pretty impressive racing to boot.

Which should give F1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone some great options for his annual Christmas card to close friends. So what has Bernie chosen? A smiling Lewis Hamilton kissing him under the mistletoe? A reindeer winning the new Lapland F1 heat? Or a picture of Bernie sitting on the squillions of pounds he’s made from F1. Oh, no. Something much better. Max Mosley!

As you will be hard pushed to forget, Max was embroiled in a sex scandal this year, involving whips, prison uniforms and other paraphernalia we’ll avoid mentioning. And Bernie obviously found this whole episode highly amusing, as he’s chosen to send his personal Christmas cards out this year sporting a cartoon of Max whipping the F1 team leaders in to shape.

We have nothing as amusing to offer you this Christmas, but we’d like to take this opportunity to wish our readers a terrific Christmas and a much less financially ‘interesting’ time in the New Year than we’ve all experienced in the last few months!
