Aston Martin CC100 tease ahead of Nurburgring reveal tomorrow (video)

UPDATE: Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept now Revealed

2013 is Aston Martin’s centenary, and as you’d expect there’s lots of ’100 Years of Aston Martin’ events going on, including the first hydrogen powered Rapide at this weekend’s Nurburgring 24hr. But that’s not all there will be at the Nurburgring tomorrow from AML.

The Aston Martin CC100 centenary special edition – an open roadster recalling the legendary DBR1 – is due to be unveiled tomorrow (19th May 2013) and Aston Martin have revealed a tease buried in a new video – ‘Aston Martin Past, Present and Future’ (below).

Aston Martin are planning to build just two CC100s, one to commemorate their centenary year and one to celebrate Stirling Moss’s win at the Nurburgring 1000km in a DBR1 in 1959.

It seems both cars are going to be for sale at a price somewhere between the V12 Zagato and One-77 (which doesn’t narrow it down a lot – except to know it’s not going to be cheap) and will be based on the (now defunct) V12 Vantage with an open body, creating a modern version of the DBR1 (think McLaren SLR Stirling Moss).

The tease photo above (grabbed from the anniversary video below) shows two outlines of open cars, and it looks as though the image in front is meant to be the DBR1 and the image behind the new CC100.

But we’ll find out exactly what the Aston Martin CC100 looks like tomorrow.
