Audi A1 Quattro gets the XCar treatment

Thu, 30 May 2013

The Audi A1 is just one of the cool European city cars we don't get here in the United States. It shares a platform with the VW Polo, Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza. Audi saw fit to drop the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the last generation S3 in just 333 examples, all of which have reportedly been sold. XCar snagged one to play with, and recorded the action for its YouTube channel.

The A1 Quattro makes 252 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 152 mph. Like the Juke-R, the A1 suffers a bit from its short wheelbase, which makes it twitchy at the limit. The price? About $60,000 when converted to USD, but it doesn't really matter -- like we said, they're already sold out.
