Audi A1 Sportback Five-Door - full price list

Last week Audi revealed the new addition to the A1 family – the five-door A1 Sportback – with an extra set of doors and just the tiniest bit of extra room. But the only price they gave us was the entry point of £13,980 for the A1 1.2 Sportback.

But now Audi has had chance to get its calculators busy they’ve worked out what the new A1 five-door is going to cost right across the range, and made it a bit clearer what the five-door offers over and above the three door A1.

The range kicks off at the aforementioned £13,980 for the 1.2 Sportback and tops out at £21,270 for the 1.4TFSI S line S tronic. But there’s no doubt that will go up as Audi add more niche models above.

Trim options come in three familiar guises – SE, Sport and S-Line – with all models getting alloys, remote locking, AirCon, electric windows and mirrors and a CD Concert Audio system with 6.5″ display.

Stump up the extra for the Sport spec and you’ll get bigger alloys, sports seats and suspension, Bluetooth and Driver’s Info System, whilst the range-topping S-Line spec gives even bigger alloys (17″), Leather and Cloth upholstery and S Line Sports Suspension (make sure your back’s in good order before you tick the S Line box).

Despite the headline prices for the five-door A1 range you’ll inevitably find yourself coming out of the Audi showroom with a more expensive car. The options list is extensive with stuff like the Technology Pack, which gives you a hard disk MMI Nav Plus, Xenon Plus Headlights, Climate, Heated Seats, Auto lights and wipers…

There’s also extra choice on the colour front, with Audi throwing in a new colour - Samoa Orange – for the Sportback, and offering the chance to choose the contrast colour for the whole roof instead of just the roof line. And if you opt for the S Line spec the contrast colour extends to the spoiler.

The Audi A1 five door is likely to take the lion’s share of A1 sales, and we’ll be seeing the first Sportbacks on the road in Spring 2012.
