Audi Q3

Wed, 13 Apr 2011

Shanghai will see the latest model unveiled from Audi, the Q3. Offered as a 'premium SUV in compact form', the Q3 adheres to Audi's standards of engineering and build quality and slots beneath its larger brothers to offer an alternative to BMW's X1 model.

This expansion of Audi's SUV range clearly draws from its bigger siblings. The Q3 boasts a similar stance and demeanor to the Q5, the DRG and rear of the car boasting similar graphics and attributes. In side profile, the Q3 is said to offer coupe-esque styling, whilst still being recognizable as a member of the Q family. The increased ride height and protective plastic lower sections ensure this. The small Q makes extensive use of alternative materials, such as an aluminum tailgate and hood, in order to deliver a paltry weight of just 1,500 kg.

The Q3's interior is typically Audi, with ergonomics and workmanship ranking high in the priorities, whilst boasting an array of high quality components to deliver a premium feel to the small SUV. Technology also ranks high within the Q3's features, boasting Bose surround sound and MMI navigation, with plans for full internet connectivity in the future.
