Fri, 15 Mar 2013

The second week of March saw the racing season warming up. We also finished our Geneva motor show coverage and began to prepare for the New York auto show. Here are our top stories of the week.

On Monday, we announced our Editor’s Choice Awards for the Geneva motor show. Spoiler alert, the Ferrari LaFerrari wins one. We saw NBC’s broadcast schedule for its first Formula One race and reviewed Detroit's famous Autorama.

On Tuesday, we previewed the upcoming Formula One season, looked at the best cars for families and wrapped up our Amelia Island coverage. We also learned about the Morgan AeroMax.

Midweek, we checked in on the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Scion FR-S race cars, watched as Henrik Fisker left his own company and salivated over Tanner Foust and Cobb Tuning’s new Ford Focus ST.

Thursday’s news included the Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series, which have merged into the United SportsCar Racing series. BMW also revealed its cars for the New York auto show, and we took a deep dive into the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.

We wrapped up the week debating the best new car for Pope Francis I, ogling a new Corvette shooting brake and keeping an eye on F1 practice. We also saw one of the best videos of the year so far: a man jumping over a Lamborghini at speed, really.
