BMWism.com compiles definitive history of BMW designers

BMW fansite, BMWism.com, has compiled a definitive history of the company's key designers throughout the ages.

The list tracks the brand's creatives, from Lucien Rosengart in 1881, right up to Magnus Aspegren, now Director of the Singapore Studio of BMW Group Designworks USA. It also unearths some great images from the company's vaults.

While names like Chris Bangle, Henrik Fisker and Adrian van Hooydonk are intrinsically linked with the Munich-based carmaker, there are many others who have played part in strengthening BMW's brand identity, including a few surprises.

This study examines in great detail how BMW's automotive design has developed over the years, up to the point where it is now recognized as one of the most design-led in the industry.
