FORMER STRICTLY Come Dancing star, Camilla Dallerup, 40, married to actor, Kevin Sacre

What car do you drive?

My husband, Kevin and I have gone green! We do a lot of work for green charities and we also tour the country a lot for work and we came to the conclusion a while back that the most sensible thing to do was to get a green car. So we got a Seat Leon, it's low emission and it’s really comfortable.

What was your first car?

I was able to drive one of our family cars, a Citroen when I was young and then my dad gave me a Fiat of my own so I could be independent. I grew up among cars as my dad had a showroom in Denmark, and so they were a big part of my life. I really enjoy driving.

What was your best or worst car?

My Mercedes B-Class, was my best car, I loved it. In my heart I’m still a Mercedes fan but I couldn’t get one that fitted the green credentials. I do miss the Mercedes but I want to be planet friendly.

If I had to name a worst car it would be a Toyota Corolla, nothing to do with the car, only because Kevin was in an accident in it, which put me off it. It gave me a fright. The car was a write off.

Do you have a dream car?

If you asked my husband it would be a Tesla, an electric car and I would like that too.

Do you consider yourself a good driver and have you had any accidents?

Yes I consider myself a good driver. I don't want to talk about crashes or anything like that. It's like tempting fate!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done in a car?

Probably driving in really heavy snow when I was a teenager. I was fearless at 18, just got my driving license, and I drove in Denmark and Norway on hills and in all sorts of conditions. It would worry me to do it now, but at the time I never minded and I would skid along the road and thought it was really good fun.

When you take your driving license in Scandinavia you have to go on a skid course and you have to learn how to control the car in tricky conditions. It's part of your driving course, you can't pass without it. It was good fun and very useful. You learn how to handle a car in all sorts of risky situations.

What drives you mad behind the wheel?

People who drive carelessly and weave in and out, and really for safety I always keep to a steady speed. The worst thing is when people tailgate you to try to make you drive faster. I hate that, it’s so dangerous. And all so they can save 5 minutes!

What’s the best music to drive to?

I like anything that you can sing along to. The classics, Girls just Want to Have Fun, all the cheesy hits which cheer you up and get you going

What do you have in the glove box?

Just my iPod!

Who cleans the car?

My husband, he’s so amazing, he does all those boring chores. I would not do it myself because my dad had a car showroom so I grew up with cars.

When I was young I used to love to go and help him, and would clean and polish the cars because I thought it was fun. Now I can't bear the thought of cleaning the car so Kevin does it for me.
