Catch the Arizona auction action even if you're not there

Thu, 19 Jan 2012

This is the big weekend for car auctions in Arizona. Thousands will soak up the desert sun to see a wide spectrum of vehicles cross the auction block. But many more of us won't be there.

But, you can watch the action in the Phoenix area from the comfort of your couch on your television, computer or smartphone. Here's how:

First, we'll be posting daily updates from the auctions at autoweek.com.

The largest auction of the weekend, Barrett-Jackson, will have blocks of its sale televised live on the Speed network. Here are the scheduled broadcast times:

-- Friday: 2 p.m. to midnight Eastern

-- Saturday: 2 p.m. to midnight Eastern

-- Sunday: 2-6 p.m. Eastern

Russo and Steele will stream its sale live on the Internet. The coverage is here. The auction house says it will launch its video stream on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at noon Eastern.

RM Auctions also will offer live coverage of its Arizona sale on its Web site. The coverage begins at 2 p.m. Eastern on Friday, and the stream is here.

Gooding & Co. will have live video coverage of its Arizona sale on both Friday and Saturday, at the company's Web site.

Bonham's joined the Arizona auction festivities this year; its sale was held on Thursday. You can find more information here.
